Strategic social media is my passion.
In the past few years, we have all seen social media explode. Trends show that in 2011, there will be an even greater impact. Traditional public relations, marketing, and sales techniques of years past no longer resonate with the public. Now, through social media, businesses are able to establish a two-way exchange of information with their target audience; it has facilitated a CONVERSATION, rather than a one-way spout of information. I am excited to be a part of this new conversation.
I hold a B.A. in Public Relations from the School of Journalism at the University of Oregon. My previous experience is in non-profit and in-house public relations, as well as political campaigns. Social media has played an intrinsic role in each of my previous positions.
